After making it out of the Balkans the worlds worst traveller decided it was time to choose a more peaceful and stable place to take his fortnight off work – and where better than the Middle East?
As such the man, who any reasonable country wouldn’t even grant a passport, travelled to Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel and Egypt.
On this largely pointless journey he visits some of the amazing sights the region has to offer – such as Petra, the Pyramids and the Old City of Damascus, but also gets to meet exciting locals such as the fat Israeli guy who decided he was a threat to the future of the Jewish state. As well as the fake Egyptian policeman and the Syrian bus station attendant he suspected was a member of the secret police (or he might just have been there to mop the floor, hard to say)

Mr. Burnett is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. Though I think he needs to write more books on his many travel adventures, and come to Wisconsin to have some of our local brews :)Product details

Yes this book has some typos but it's the funniest I've read in a while. Really cheered me up after a bad week. I think this bloke deserves his own tv show.
This is a very entertaining book written with a lot of humor. Being American I don't understand why so many travel books are written by English authors. They use a lot of slang I don't understand but I still enjoy them.
Mr. Burnett is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. Though I think he needs to write more books on his many travel adventures, and come to Wisconsin to have some of our local brews )
